The students from Pre-Pet 1745 have written reviews on Destination Karminia. Have a look at them

                  Destination Karminia
                                     By Maureen Simpson

Maureen Simpson is a famous British author of children's books.

The characters are just 7: the main characters are three teenagers (Stella, Jasmine and Simon), a university professor, Sonia Peng, and three villains (Jim, Tony and Philip Cummins, the boss).

The book is about three adventurous friends, who received an e-mail from Sonia Peng, a university professor that wanted to find a lost city. This city had disappeared because of an earthquake. It was called Karminia, and it was situated in Ben Nevis, Scotland.
They went on an expedition to find it, but they had a problem with Phill Cummins and his followers, Tony and Jim. They wanted to find Karminia too, following the archeologist steps.
This book has strengths and weaknesses:
The strengths are that it has a lot of adventures and magic and it’s quite interesting. And the weaknesses are that some parts are boring. It’s very short there is not much descriptions about the characters, is very predictable so you can imagine what will happen before you read it.

Our opinion about the book is that is a little boring and predictable. If you like short, fantasy books you should read it.

Ben Nevis, Scotland.

Clara and Julia, Pre PET 1745.
